Our Philosophy

Donvale preschool is a fun, caring, creative kindergarten environment where children are encouraged to explore, to question, experiment, to be curious and to be self motivated learners.

Our program is child initiated and adult enriched and reflects each child’s interests, learning styles, family and cultural backgrounds.

Our most important aim is for children to enjoy the kindergarten setting while learning through play. We hope all children experience the positive development of self esteem, independence, supportive relationships with peers and adults and where children are well respected and believed in. 

The children are offered a range of topics through role play, construction, music, dance, creative art and pre literacy and numeracy. These tasks are enhanced by participation in excursions, incursions and other special events.

Parental involvement is welcomed and encouraged by our enthusiastic and devoted staff who develop and implement the program in conjunction with the families and community.

Donvale Preschool is a nut free environment, a sun smart centre and has Asthma Accreditation.
